Quiet whisper from God. Reminding me. Your life has purpose. This is You Have a Dream Living with Purpose Podcast. Welcome back, dreamers to You Have a Dream Living with Purpose. I'm your host, Life Coach Brandy. And today we're going deeper than usual. It's like we slow down and let the message breathe. Because today's topic, seasons of growth, deserves time. We're not just talking about spiritual growth, but emotional maturity, purpose development, and divine timing. Because growth happens through seasons, not around them. You know, we often celebrate the bloom, but forget the soil. Every season, the dry, the waiting, the thriving, plays a role in your story. And sometimes those hardest seasons end up being the ones that shape us most deeply. So Ecclesiastics 3 1 says, To every season, to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under, and a time to every purpose under heaven. So notice every purpose has a time. Your waiting season is just as important as your winning season. Because we sometimes see waiting as punishment when we usually when it's it's usually preparing us. When we're going through, let's say the wilderness, and we think that we're being punished, it's actually preparing us for something wonderful. So God uses seasons to grow roots of resilience. The planting season teaches us obedience, the pruning season teaches us surrender. The harvest season teaches us gratitude. And every time we think we've arrived, God says, wait a minute, I have more. Because purpose is a journey, not a destination. And if you're listening today and you feel stuck, maybe it's not that you're stuck. Maybe you're simply in the middle of a growth cycle. Seeds don't sprout the same day they're planted, right? And faith means staying rooted even when nothing seems to be happening. Some seasons are quiet, some seasons are challenging. But if you build roots of resilience, you can handle all your seasons with grace. Because you have been building resilient and deep roots by fostering your faith with your patience, inner strength, and purpose. The quiet seasons are often characterized by unseen, silent progress, which have prepared you for the future when you're flourishing, by teaching you to trust in the journey, even without immediate results. You need to embrace quiet seasons. All growth cannot be seen. Slow seasons are crucial for strengthening foundations. During your quiet seasons, this is how you set up your daily prayer. This is when you set those habits. And you know it takes 21 days to make a habit. So as we've been working through the season, and we're in week four, five, five. So if you've been doing as I have coached you to, and start building your faith and have your daily, you know, your daily prayer time, your daily scripture, and have your time to nurture and water your seed or your faith or your purpose. Okay, so we're working on our daily prayers, we're working on our uh working in the word with God, and we're worshiping, making this your foundations of daily habits. Like a plant, internal growth, that's your character, your faith, your patience, and your intentionality. This must happen before external growth, like success or our fruits, can be sustained. So as long as you keep showing up, this gives you power to continue to move forward as you go into a challenging season. Heavy times, if you continue to show up, even if it's tough, it's showing up for yourself and it's self-love and grace. Your life is um it's a cycle along with nature. We go through a yearly cycle. So our life is like that. The emotional and personal growth cycles, sometimes you need to let go, rest, and regenerate, and that way your root, you your deepest roots grow when no one is watching. So when it's time to bloom, your roots are deep, strong, and resilient. So as long as you build those daily, um, those daily habits. I like that they are daily habits. Because your resilience through your struggles and your challenges, these seasons are like winter, kind of. That's how I see it. Because you don't see what's growing, but you're being consistent, you're showing up for yourself, and so these are opportunities that you know we rebuild and we strengthen our foundations. This also is a time of reflection and what I call going deeper in faith. So usually, you know, at the end of the year we do, we reflect, we want to know, all right, what went well this year, and what would I like to do different this upcoming year? So you're reflecting, and that is showing that you see where there is an opportunity to grow your.com, or I'm on all the socials. Well, I don't know that I'm on all of them, on Facebook, I'm on TikTok, I'm on YouTube, I'm on Instagram, and TikTok, TikToks is Life Coach Brandy, and the other three are you have a dream living with purpose. So reach out to me and I will help you find the perfect scripture and what you're going through. I'd love to help you with that. So, okay, let me go back to like autumn. Autumn is a season where um you should embrace the change because again, in autumn, we're going through changes, the leaves are all falling, and let go of situations, people, or habits, or other things that are just getting in your way of your purpose, or even in your faith, if they're getting in the way of your faith. So autumn is like a time to where we reflect. I feel like we reflect and look at what is serving me well right now. What do I need to get rid of? And let me tell you, I will never get rid of football. College football. Okay, I just watch college football, and I just watch OU. So I'm not one of those people that watches football all day, every day, because then it can take up your whole weekend, and then you have I mean if you're spending it with your friends, that's fine, but it can take up your whole weekend, and then you've just not had any worship time. And I on the weekends, I listened to my Bible. In fact, um the Bible app this week, it said you need to dive deep into Daniel, and so right now I'm on a five-day plan. So as soon as I'm done with that five-day plan, I'm gonna take a deep dive into Daniel. So that's what I'm going to do. And if you're on the um Holy Bible app, search me out. It's under Brandy Gill, and friend me, and I will share what plans I am doing right now at the time. So items that no longer serve you and you and your purpose. So I I kind of just went off. So when we're in the autumn, because I I went off on my tangent with football, we're looking at items that do not serve us and they don't serve our purpose. So we're going to go into my coaching corner, and we're going to walk through what I call the four seasons of growth. Each one requires something different from you, but all of them matter. Season one is planting the season faith. The season of faith. I said that really fast. So I've talked about the planning. This is the first crucial season of faith. Preparing your heart for God and God's word, trusting God to bring growth. This teaches you patience because it is in God's time, not your time. And that's that's very hard for some of us because it is in God's time. And we're in the world today that we're like, I want it right now, I want it right now, I want it right now. It's in God's time. You probably need growth before said what you've been praying for, or what you're trying to grow through. So patience and your faith to believe in a harvest even when the work is hidden or results are not immediate. The keys to take away in this season, active faith. Remember, faith is growing deeply in the season. Planting is not a passive action, it involves the intentional action, studying scripture, prayer, and reflecting God's truth. So we're in this season where we're planted. You need to trust the process, faith. Let's let the seeds stay buried, trusting God with the timing of our growth. We need to continue to cultivate the soul, remove the weeds of worry or sin. You're preparing, you're preparing your heart to receive God's word. Just like the seeds in our garden, spiritual growth happens beneath the surface in darkness and in silence. Remember, your roots are being established. Galatians 6 9 encourages believers not to grow weary in doing good, promising a harvest in due season if you do not give up. So this is when you're dreaming, you plan, or you start something new. It's exactly it's exciting, but it's uncertain. Ask yourself, am I trusting God enough to start? So now, season two, the season of surrender. Pruning. I left out pruning. Pruning the season of I'm struggling right now. Pruning the season of surrender. This is typically divine, often painful. It's a painful process, and it's a painful process of refinement. It is designed to cut away distractions, the dead weight, or even good things can be hindering future growth. So, like when you prune your roses, you're pruning them to so they will have growth, and you're pruning away the distractions. And so think of it as pruning, and so we're gonna rid ourselves of distraction. And remember, this is also the season of surrender, so that's why it's called surrender. You're require it's requiring you to trust God, especially during periods of discomfort or redirection or even loss. Surrendering is not a punishment, honey, but preparation. It is preparing you for greater faithfulness. What is the why behind the cut? It is the season of alignment. You are cutting selfishness, pride, and sin or items, things that cannot sustain our long-term growth to living our purpose. And what what that's and I don't think that it's meaning. Sometimes it is people in our lives, but sometimes it's habits that we have that we need to move away from. So not all habits are bad, but there are some habits that you know watching too much TV. The only time I watch TV really is um when I'm working out. Or I don't do it every Friday and Saturday night. I'm show live. It's just there in the background because believe it or not, I'm working. Either my real job, or this one. I'm either working on the podcast or what I'm going to do during the week on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Or I'm working for, you know, creating the lesson plans for the following week for my students. So it's just there when there's a when there's a car chase. I've learned that I can't work out and watch it because if there's a car chase, I'm gonna fall off the treadmill. No ifs, ands, or buts. Because I guess I do this stuff to go along with the car. So, and if you're if you're just listening to this, I like juke. I juke left and right, like I'm driving the police car behind the person that's running. So I if you want to go watch it on YouTube and you can see what I was just doing. So, um when I was in high school, we had a song at our teacher actually actually wrote it, and it was called Letting Go. And it's a beautiful song, and I wish I had a recording of it, but anyhow, letting go of control, letting go of your toxic mindsets, and certain dreams that God is removing to make room for new growth and leading us into living with purpose. Because sometimes we have dreams that we think God has given us, but He is He has seen you grow and He might have something different for you to do, something greater. So just know that He's always working for the greater good, and so the process this is moving you from a peace of into peace or away from the grumbling, the negativity, and removing obstacles to place to a place where peace is often reflected. So sometimes we think we're at peace and we're really not. So, but John 15 2, where the gardener prunes, branches that do not bear fruit, or I'm sorry, branches that do. bear fruit so they may bear hmm may bear more so the gardener prunes some branches that are you know that are bearing fruit but they they're not producing as much as the gardener wants so he's gonna prune the those branches and the next time they will they will bear more fruit so what you need to do is abide in the vine and the vine is jesus stay focused and encouraged in your faith trust the gardener the master gardener requires trust he knows what he's doing you've got to release control and whenever I think of that release control Jesus take the wheel instead of trying to do it my way or alone uh Jesus I need you to take the wheel so this is where God removes what is no longer serving us and it no longer serves you to the next level it's uncomfortable but it's necessary so this is when you ask what is God asking me to release so season three is blooming the season of purpose blooming every stage of life whether joyful painful or dormant these all serve a specific divine intention every season there's a season you're every season you're gonna learn something and you're gonna grow from what you're learning in that season in ecclesiastics 3 1 it states that there is a time for every purpose under heaven in this season hold on i gotta turn the page in this season it emphasizes growing where you are planted rather than waiting for the ideal conditions do you understand you're gonna bloom where you are planted right now there is something to learn right now in the season that you're in and so you're gonna bloom and you're not gonna God's not waiting for the ideal conditions you understand there's something for you to learn in the season that you're in so I know we try to wait for the ideal conditions to you know I want to move I want to do this I want a new job I want to transfer it's not on our time remember it's always on God's time and we need to be looking at what we need to learn and grow from this season. So I think it also is a season well maybe maybe there's healing that you need to do or internal growth that you need to do. It's not always in public it often involves it it sometimes there it's the quiet healing finding peace self-forgiveness and self-love because remember if you have that negative Nancy talking in your head it may be a time where God is trying to teach you to be more positive because like I said whatever you're putting out in the world you're receding back and you don't need to be negative Nancy okay so you need to recognize divine timing it's divine timing you're not behind you're blooming to your own divine timing embrace the mess the dirt of past mistakes heartache and tension this is often the fertile soil where growth begins so when you're hurt or when you're grieving or when you've had a heartache that is the ideal time for your soul to grow and heal excuse me all right so this is when everything starts to align confidence calling clarity ask God am I grateful for this moment so now we're moving on to season four which is the harvest the season of overflow so this is um the divine shift from lack of abundance to abundance where accumulated prayers hard work and faithfulness are rewarded with a harvest that exceeds our expectations this is like the suddenly season suddenly things are lining up it's a time for your breakthroughs restoration and favor flows into every area of your life so abundance rest and restoration is often described as a time when God brings restoration of joy peace and provision excuse me the blessing of the blessing flood harvesting past seeds this emphasizes that it is not just random luck but because of perseverance and being faithful it's sowing so surpassing your expectations your blessings will exceed what you have been asking for or thought of according to Ephesians 320 hold on your active expectation actively expect declare and prepare for this overflow so during this abundance doesn't mean that you're gonna get a whole lot of money you're gonna win the lottery you have to look at what blessings are going on what are what abundance because abundance just means that maybe your job's going really well or maybe you were offered the job that you've been dreaming of or maybe you met your special somebody you just have to watch abundance is not always show me the money you have to look at all the blessings you have to count every blessing that you have before we continue it's time to take a dream moment take a breath for just a second think about the dream that's been placed in your heart maybe it's something big maybe it's something quiet that only you and God know but if that dream is still there it's there for a reason so keep walking in faith keep taking the next step and trust purpose grows one day at a time now let's get back to the episode all right we're gonna continue the stream moment and we're gonna ask in the harvest season in our overflow I just want you to ask how can I pour back into others so Galatians 69 reminds us let us not grow weary in doing good for in due season we shall reap if we do not give up the words due season are comforting because they remind us that your time will come you don't need to chase it no chasing it just be faithful because it means the blessing is already scheduled we just have to be ready for it and while you wait praise him anyway because gratitude grows faster than worry ever could so I also want to recommend that you listen to uh the song Oceans and it's by song united I wanted to make sure that I got that right and it is about seasons and it is about growing and blooming where you're planted right now so wherever you are today whether you're planting pruning blooming or harvesting know that God is not wasting a single season he's using it to prepare you for your purpose so here's your deep dive reflection for the week take time to
