Hi, Coach Brandy here. Somewhere inside you, there is a dream that refuses to let go. A quiet whisper from God reminding you that your life has purpose. This is You Have a Dream Living with Purpose Podcast.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome peeps. I'm Life Coach Brandy and this is You Have a Dream Living with Purpose Podcast. Today's episode, the beauty of becoming. It's a season of growth, faith, and grace. And today we're pausing to celebrate the beauty of who you're becoming. Every episode has reminded us that the purpose is a journey, not a finish line. Today we'll reflect on how far you've come and how to keep becoming without rushing the process. The beauty of becoming is a is the freeing, continuous journey of discovery, your life's purpose. It is the transformation process of growth. During growth can often involve discomfort, stretching, and transitions, reshaping your resolve and strengthen your true purpose. Life's beauty lies not in the illusion of the flawless destination, but rather than unfolding of your personal life's purpose. Ways to embrace this process, embrace the in-between. Acknowledge that the uncomfortable transitions, like a caterpillar transforming into a beautiful butterfly, these are not a pause in your life, but the most important part of your transformation. Focus on the positive. Instead of feeling inadequate about what you are and the lack of, find joy and gratitude in what you have achieved in your journey so far. Live the questions. Allow yourself to exist with uncertainty, uncertainty. Every version of you, from past struggles to present triumphs, each has value and is a necessary stepping stone. Becoming isn't about becoming someone new. Every season of growth peels back another layer of truth. And it's easy to miss how much you've changed when you're still in motion. That's why reflection is powerful and it shows you that even in uncertainty, you've been transforming. With that uncertainty is a hard word for me to say today. So the journey of becoming and embracing the messiness of growth, unlearning limiting beliefs, and celebrating the quiet, ongoing process of the journey of becoming your true authentic self. And the art of this process? Embracing the unbecoming. Sometimes growing means shedding old habits, outdated mindsets, or relationships that no longer serve your journey or your purpose. So, like, you know, I'm not the same person, you're not the same person as you were in your teens or in your 20s, or however old you are, you're still not the same person. And let's just go with this. You're not the same person when you graduated high school. Because graduating high school, um your mind still is developing. So you're probably not even the same person that you were at um men quit developing in their brains around 26, women between 23 and 25. So I know that I'm not the same person that I was in high school because I had a lot of self-limiting beliefs in myself, and I had a lot of negativity that just pushed me down, if you know what I mean. It's like that's where that negativity comes back in your head. It's a triggering word. I don't know what your triggering word is, but my triggering words are you can't do that. And that's when no, don't say you can't. I wonder. So when somebody says you can't do that, watch me. See, I go, let me see how I can do that, and I try to do it. I may not be perfect, and you know, we're perfectly imperfect, but I try and try when somebody says, You're not good enough, you can't do that. I'm gonna show them that with determination and you know, getting back up on that horse after I make a mistake, it's a learning and a growth process. As in, you know, because that's been part of my journey all my life. We're on a journey and we're always learning, we're always growing, we're always, you know, finding out how far we can stretch ourselves. So, and that, you know, we got to, you know, find grace in the in-between. And we've talked about this recently. It was in um, I think it was two or three episodes ago. Finding grace in the in-between. It's so easy to focus on our goals. But true peace comes from loving the person you are today while striving for who you will be tomorrow. You have to love yourself along this journey and celebrate little wins. I I love to celebrate little wins with people, and it's so important that we continue to just know that we are awesome and know that we can do anything that we set our minds to. It may take us a couple of tries and we may make mistakes along the way, but it's still part of the growing journey of becoming your true authentic self. So I think it's important that we celebrate little wins. You know, it could be that you know you're trying to um react to different situations in a different way. You're trying to control um like Scorpios kind of screw, you know, they spew words of hate, and you're trying to take a deep breath and react with purpose and with grace and with love and kindness. And so that is a win if you have one of those conversations where before you would have just blown up and spewed words that you cannot take back. Once they're out there, you can't take them back. You can say they're so you're sorry, but remember that person is gonna remember that. So as long as we're trying to control our reaction to what's outside of our bubble, that's when you see the growth that you've had. So you have to give yourself grace because sometimes we're not gonna be perfect and we're not gonna say the right things, but we're always trying. We're always trying to be kind and do everything in love and show grace. So, and this is part of excuse me, we're gonna shift our perspective instead of viewing setbacks or roadblocks as you know horrible things to us, reframe them as like essential lessons. Every hurdle of victory shapes the um interactive masterpiece of your life. So every hurdle that you have overcome, you're working on this beautiful mosaic masterpiece that is your life and your legacy and your purpose. So I think that's important that we just continue to offer ourselves grace and continue to understand that roadblocks and hurdles are gonna come along, we're gonna make mistakes, and that's okay. That's so okay. So, what I'm gonna do right now is let's like let's take a little reflection moment. Ask yourself, who am I becoming? And am I proud of him or her? Who are you becoming? And are you proud of yourself? Yes, you should be proud of yourself. Sometimes we're so focused on the destination that we forget the process is the point. You grow more from the waiting, learning, and trying than from the achieving. So the waiting period is so important when we are, you know, trusting our faith and trusting God and His plan. The waiting is sometimes hard for us, but the waiting is so beautiful that you are learning and growing in the process of waiting. And that what's make that's what makes the journey beautiful. Every challenge, every detour, every small win, they've all been preparing you for what's next. So the process as the point. This means shifting your focus from the final destination to the journey. Instead of treating yourself, your daily habits and actions merely as those stepping stones, you find fulfillment, meaning, and beauty in the ongoing act of growing, learning, and becoming. So instead of focusing on the destination, like I just said, you enjoy the little wins, the little milestones, the little steps that you take to becoming your true authentic self. And you're so intentional in everything that you do. When you make the process the point, several things will shift. Let's think about this. The present becomes a priority. You stop obsessing over the future and instead appreciate where you are right now. The in-between stays no longer awkward. Waiting periods, they are the bear the beauty of our story. So the waiting periods are the beauty of our story. Failure kind of loses its stigma if we have the right mindset. Setbacks and struggles stop being roadblocks and become vital learning tools that shape who you are, and you can add those learning moments and those tools to your tool belt to use in future scenarios. So it's growing and just giving yourself permission to be a beginner and learn and grow. And like I said, just keep those tools in your tool belt because you'll use every one of them again and again and again. And so true fulfillment. The dopamine hits comes from the pursuit, the momentum, and the daily progress rather than just the final reward. So appreciate where you are, appreciate who you've become, and celebrate those little wins instead of just that final destination. You need to enjoy the journey as you're along that journey. Before we continue, it's time to take a dream moment. Take a breath for just a second. Think about the dream that's been placed in your heart. Maybe it's something big, maybe it's something quiet that only you and God know. But if that dream is still there, it's there for a reason. So keep walking in faith, keep taking the next step, and trust. Purpose grows one day at a time. Now, let's get back to the episode. A moment to look back. A moment to look back. The beauty lies in how we outgrow our hardest chapters. The uncertainty, pain, or confusion you experience, allowing you to look back and see exactly how those pieces shape the person you're meant to be. Finding beauty is in the middle of clarity through hindsight. Difficult seasons really make sense while you are in them. They rarely, I'm sorry, they rarely make sense while you're in them. But looking back gives you the distance to realize. Setbacks were either redirection or a period of pure growth. And so you're building resilience. The emptiness or disor orientation you feel isn't a flow in your journey. It's an active transformative space. So embrace the ordinary days. Not every day is going to be a spectacular, like Fourth of July fireworks going off every day. Embracing your ordinary days. Often the small, quiet moments we rush past today become the most deeply treasured memories of tomorrow. Think about it and think about somebody that has um passed on in your life. You hear you hear a sound, you smell something, and or you, you know, you hear something and you it just takes you to back to that moment. And at that time you thought it was insignificant, but now it's so important to you because you reflect back on that person that had an impact in your life, and you can smile about it and see that you've changed just from then to now. So when you reflect, you realize that life isn't about running away from where you were, but honoring how every experience adds to the beautiful mosaic of your beautiful story. So let's continue in our guided reflection. Alright. Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Think about who you were at the start of the season. Now think about who you are today. You've grown, maybe quietly, maybe imperfectly, but you've grown. Whisper. I honor my progress, I am proud of my becoming. Say it to yourself again. I honor my progress, and I am proud of my becoming. You don't have to have it all figured out. Just keep becoming. So let's grab our journals and let's do our journaling moment. Open your journal and reflect on these questions. What am I proud most proud of this season? What lesson will I carry forward in the next chapter? How can I keep showing up for my purpose with grace and gratitude? And add this, write a thank you note to yourself. Thank yourself for not giving up, for choosing growth, for believing again. You can title it, Dear Becoming Me. Read it anytime you need to remember. Or a reminder of the strength that you have. Isn't that beautiful? If you write yourself, you know, we've written a couple of letters to ourselves to go back and reflect on, to show what how we've grown. So here's your affirmation for this week. I am not behind. I am beautifully becoming everything I'm meant to be. So I am not behind, I am beautifully becoming everything I'm meant to be. Thank you for walking with us through the beauty of becoming. Every listener, every reflection, every heart shared has made this journey special. Also, peeps, remember, you don't have to have it all figured out to be in purpose. You just have to be willing.
