“With God, all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Hi, Coach Brandy here. Somewhere inside you, there is a dream that refuses to let go.
SPEAKER_01A quiet whisper from God reminding you that your life has purpose. This is You Have a Dream Living with Purpose podcast. Hi peeps, welcome back. I'm Life Coach Brandy, and this is You Have a Dream Living with Purpose. I'm your host. Today's episode is called Vision Board Revival. Remember when we went over our vision boards? Well, we're gonna revive them, and it's all about reigniting your imagination, your goals, and your God-given dreams. Sometimes our dreams fade into the background, life gets busy, doubts creep in, and the vision that you once had starts to feel so very distant. But today we're breathing new life into those visions. It's time to revive what God placed in your heart. So the vision board revival is a shift from private goal, like you've got it in your head or it's in your journal, to setting it to a shared goal and physical collages. People now focus on actionable habits and identify statements rather than just dreaming. Vision boards matter because they activate the brain's focus, prime the mind to notice opportunities, and provide emotional motivation. They turn vague dreams into clear daily reminders. Now, why the vision board matters? Brain filtering. The reticular activating system in your brain filters out noise. A vision board tells your brain what goals and opportunities to look for. So this also creates visual processing. We process images much faster than text, making emotional connections to goals stronger and easier to remember. It's also a daily way to focus daily. Seeing your goals every day stops distractions and keep your choices aligned with the future you want to build. So the vision board needs to be visual to where you see it every day. You can put it on your phone. Mine's on my laptop, on my save screen, and um I tried it on my phone, but it it's too little. So I put it on my laptop, which I see every day. I sit at my computers here every day. So I see it. It's my visual, it's what I'm working towards in life for real. So vision gives your direction purpose. Proverbs 29, 18 says, where there is no vision, the people perish. Without vision, we drift, we just drift. With it, we grow with intention. Your vision board isn't just art, it's prayer in motion. It's more than just cutouts and quotes, it's a reflection of what your spirit is believing for. And when you create or update your vision board, you're saying, I trust the process and I promise. And I always I think I said this during the vision board, the original vision board, before we're reviving it. And it's it she has it on an actual poster board. So if you want to do if you're that creative and you want to do an actual poster board and hang it on your wall, you do it. I am not creative in that way, but I can I can find pictures on the internet easier than I could like if I went through a magazine. I mean, who reads magazines today? Do you read magazines today? The last time I got a magazine, I think, was um when Michael Jackson passed away and I got the big people issue. But other than that, I'm not real big on magazines. So let's take a reflection moment. Ask yourself, have I stopped dreaming boldly? And if so, what would it look like to start again? So, like I said, sometimes we just push it to the side and we don't think about our goals daily, and that is why I say that we need to live intentionally, set our goals intentionally, make them achievable and in a timely manner. So, because if you don't have an amount of time to reach this certain goal, you'll never reach it. It's out there, it's floating. But we need to set goals and understand that they need to be attainable, and we need to live intentionally, like I said previously, if you're living intentionally, you will see opportunities that you would have missed if you're not intentional about making your dreams your reality, creating those goals so your dreams will be your reality. So pull out your old vision board if you have one. If you don't, it's okay. Look at it, really look at it. Notice what comes to life, what's changed, and what still calls to you. God updates our dreams as we grow, and that's okay. Maybe you've outgrown some goals, or maybe new ones are sprouting up. This revival is about alignment and not perfection. Ask God to refresh your vision with clarity and peace. Reconnecting with your dreams through a vision board revival requires clarity, intentional selection, and daily placement. Key steps to refresh your vision include reflecting on core feelings, gathering inspiring images, and displaying the board prominently. So we need to look at our old vision board, or if we didn't create one, we really need to sit down and intentionally reflect and plan our vision board. You need to define your why, think about the core emotions and balance you want to feel rather than just physical items. Do a brain dump. Write down how your ideal day looks from morning to night in present tense. So, like if you have this dream, I want you to write it down as what a day looks like if this dream was happening right now. So, what would it look like from morning until nighttime? From the time you wake up till the time you go to bed, what does that day look like? And don't take your time, actually put yourself in that moment and feel this is what my day would look like if my dream was to come true right now. And then vision it. What would you eat for breakfast? When's your workout? When's your journaling time? When's your uh self-care time? Time for you to reflect and connect with God and prayer time. What would you do for lunch? What happens in between breakfast and lunch? What who's around you? What do you see? What do you feel? What do you hear? What do you taste? What do you smell? What's going on around you? Who's there with you? Think long and hard. And you can always come back and listen to this if you're listening to this while you're driving, or if you're cleaning your house right now, and that's on your agenda today. That's your goal for the day. Don't interrupt that goal. You can do this at your reflection time this evening or tomorrow morning. Group it by categories, separate goals, like into health, career, relationships, and personal growth. Your health, your career, relationships, and personal growth. I also like to add finance in there. So create and placing. So when you're creating and placing, collect your visuals, print photos or clip magazine pictures that match your goal. Add affirmations, write down short, powerful words or quotes to center your mindset. Display opening. Put the board where you see it daily, or set it as your phone background. A holy imagination transforms a standard goal. Setting vision onto a board into a spiritual place by aligning your personal dreams with divine purpose, scriptural promises, and the leading of the before we continue, it's time to take a dream moment. Take a breath for just a second. Think about the dream that's been placed in your heart. Maybe it's something big, maybe it's something quiet that only you and God know. But if that dream is still there, it's there for a reason. So keep walking in faith, keep taking the next step, and trust purpose grows one day at a time. Now, let's get back to the episode. Alright, so now core principles of a faith-filled vision board, sacred curation, select images, a word of the year, and specific Bible verses, such as Habakku or Jeremiah 29, 11. That reflects who you are becoming in Christ rather than just material accumulation. Prayer-led process. Invite the Holy Spirit into the assembly process by praying over each clipping, each goal, and habit before pinning it or gluing it down. Make sure you're aligning daily. Place this board in a quiet space where it serves as a gentle reminder to trust deeper, move with grace, and focus on God's design for your life. Now let's go into our guided reflection. A vision board is about clarity, faith, and flow instead of control. So close your eyes. Excuse me. Imagine your life as a garden, each goal a flower, each dream a seed. Now ask yourself, what do I see blooming this year? See the colors, see the shapes, the beauty of it all. Take a brief deep breath and whisper, My vision is alive again. My vision is alive again. Feel hope return. That's your spirit remembering what I came here to do. So let's grab our journal. In the journal, write about your revived, revived vision. What dreams do what dreams feel alive again for you? What new goals are inspired to plant? How can you make space daily to honor your vision? Remember, vision isn't about controlling outcomes. It's about clarity, faith, and flow. You don't chase the dream, you become it. So your core ideas here. Clarity. Know what you truly want to feel and experience, like your dream has already come true. What does it feel like, taste like, sound like, look like, feel it? Visualize it. Faith. Trust the process without forcing every step. Intentionally act like it has already happened. Flow. Let your daily actions match your desired identity. That means your daily actions should be intentional and authentic that point toward your dream. Shift your mindset. Stop forcing results. Focus on your habits instead of strict timelines. Remember, God's timing is always perfect. Embody the feeling. Intentionally be your authentic self and embody that identity. And stay open. Allow good things to come to you in unexpected ways. So your affirmation for this week, my vision is alive. I trust divine timing and move boldly towards my purpose. That is such a powerful mindset.
